Our kaupapa
Making conservation safe, accessible and easy to all people – encouraging engagement with the natural world.
Rewild is a conservation innovation company specialising in developing tools and technologies for use in landscape-scale pest and predator eradication and suppression. Our focus is on developing robust, effective, safe and easy to use tools which humanely target the small mammalian predators decimating our ecosystems, allowing the natural world and our taonga species’ inhabiting it to thrive.
Rewild undertakes all Research and Development in-house, and partners with various organisations where outside expertise and validation is needed. Rewild has set up an extensive manufacturing facility in Taranaki, ensuring utmost quality control and continuous improvement goes hand in hand with our ongoing desire to create new technologies that work in demanding environments. Rewild has a high level of engineering and technical capability in-house and we heavily leverage this to ensure we meet the needs of our customers and end-users.
Rewild also supports the kaupapa of our local conservation groups directly, including providing a space for Taranaki Kiwi Trust to operate from our premises. We also allow other conservation groups and educators to use our space as and when required – this manaakitanga ensures our local conservation ecosystem has the best chance of thriving and learning from one another.
