About us

Rewild is in an exciting phase of development and growth. Having released the F-Bomb to the world in early 2023, we proceeded to make a real mark on the landscape with our innovative approach to trapping. The last 2 years has seen the F-Bomb adopted by some of the most demanding projects in Aotearoa, fighting on the coal face for the protection of our native species. We have achieved NAWAC humane passes for 5 species with Manaaki Whenua – a feat unmatched in the recent history of trap development here in NZ. We have had considerable positive feedback and ‘championing’ of the positive benefits our approach had brought to improving biodiversity outcomes. This has been an amazing opportunity to both show what is possible, and learn from our customers and collaborators to inform the next phases of the company.

In March 2025 we elected to cease production of the F-Bomb in its current guise. Our ability to scale the product in its current form has been limited, so we have spent the ensuing time focused on our ability to meet potential demand for the product, improve manufacturing efficiencies as well as broader access and distribution of the product, and taking the learning from the last 2 years in the field to apply improvements to the product that benefit our end users and the outcomes of their projects.

It is an exciting time for Rewild, and we look forward to being able to reveal the new and improved version of the Rewild trap in the very near future – stay tuned
